Well, this is the first article for my army-diary. I could not find much useful information on the RS on the internet, so i decided to create a diary of my RS and sum up some of the highlights and things that every recruit should know. As not everyone speaks english, i will translate the articles to german later on.
===DEUTSCHER TEIL===
Also, das ist mein erster Artikel für mein Armee-Tagebuch. Leider konnte ich fast keine brauchbaren informationen im Internet finden, daher habe ich beschlossen ein Tagebuch zu schreiben und alles, was ein angehender Rekrut wissen sollte zusammenzufassen.
First of all: the information you get for the recruitment is quite good. You get a packing list, a map where you have to go, some suggestions on how to get there. A complete info package. When you follow it, you’re fine for those 3 days. For the RS itself it looks a bit different. you just get a marching order saying „These barracks, then“. you dont have any idea where this actually is, nor how to get there. Apart from that, what do i have to take with me?
A few months ago i received a bookled called the „brevier“. It contains a lot of information about the army in general, but also about the RS in detail. So lets go to the most important part at the moment: what do I have to bring in? in the brevier it says: the that you need to get before going in is listed in arcticle bla and bla in the booklet bla which will be distributed beginning of the RS. WTHWTF???? Great info guys. So I got on the internet and looked for some info. One was the official one here, and a „inofficial one here . I think with those two lists i should be OK. In Addition to that it always makes sense to talk to people around you that already done the RS. They will all tell you that you will hate it whilst you’re there, but after that you dont want to miss it. Well, I’ll find out soon enough…

Zuallererst: die Information, die man für die RS bekommt, ist ziemlich gut. Man bekommt eine Packliste, eine Croquis wohin man muss, einige Vorschläge, wie man dorthin kommt. Ein vollständiges Informationspaket also. Wenn man diesem folgt, ist man für die 3 rekrutierungstage bestens gerüstet. Für das RS selbst sieht es nach ein bisschen anders aus. Man bekommt ledigtlich einen Marschbefehl mit den infos:“diese Kaserne, dann“. Man hat normalerweise keine Ahnung wo die Kaserne eigentlich ist, noch wie man dorthin kommen kann. Abgesehen davon, was muss ich überhaupt mitnehmen?
Vor einigen Montaten erhielt ich ein kleines Büchlein namens „Brevier“, Es enthält viele allgemeine Informationen über die Armee, aber auch einige spezifische Infos über die RS. Also blättere ich zum Teil „Anzug und Ausrüstung zur Ausbildung“. Dort steht, dass die infos im Reglement „Bekleidung und Packungen“ Kapitel 1.3, 2.3 oder Anhang 4 stehen, welches anfangs RS verteilt wird. Was soll denn der Blödsinn??? Also ab ins Internet und googlen. Im Netz habe ich hier eine offizielle Packliste, und hier ein inoffizieller „Anhang“ gefunden. Mit diesen beiden Listen sollte ich die ersten Wochen überstehen 🙂 Bekannte, welche die RS schon hinter sich haben, sind immer eine gute Informationsquelle. Sie sagen alle, dass man es hassen wird, solange man drinn ist. Aber im Nachhinein wird man die Erinnerungen nicht missen wollen. Naja, ich finde es bald heraus…
